

William "Bill" Schultz, aged 91, passed away on the morning of Sunday, October 25, 2015 while in the company of his family. He was born in Wyoming, MI to the late Fred and Alice Schultz in February of 1924. Bill is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Jean Nielsen who passed in 1974. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years Geraldine "Geri", his children Tom Schultz, Dennis (Judy) Schultz, Step Children Jackie (Steve) Lipskie, Kim (Nancy) Kranich, Debbie (Dave) Griep, Mark Kranich, Carla (Mike) Kelly, brother Jack (Betty) Schultz, and brothers-in-law Tom (Luzia) Pursley and Albert (Pat) Pursley. Bill was also very fond of his 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren as well as 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill proudly served his country during WWII as a medic aboard the U.S.S. Haven and was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 258, and the VFW Creston Post 3023. Bill was a dedicated employee of the Amway Corporation for many years until his retirement in 1984. He was an enthusiastic coach and umpire for many years with the Northern Little League. Please join the family for a time of visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish (2275 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505) on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 12:00 noon with a half hour of visitation prior. Interment is to take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Please consider a memorial contribution in Bill's honor to Blessed Sacrament Church.
