

Alvin Lamont Crawford, 88, of Surprise Ariz., formerly of Grandview, Mo., passed away June 26, 2010, at Timberlake Care Center, Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Road, Grandview, Mo. Visitation 10-11 a.m. prior to the services. Burial at 1:30 p.m. with military honors in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Mo. Contributions suggested to SouthernCare Hospice, 1240 N.E. Windsor Dr., Lee's Summit, MO 64086. Alvin was born March 28, 1922, in Rippy, Iowa, to Luther E. Crawford and Isadore Clark. He was a member of the Grandview First Baptist Church. Alvin was an Air Force Veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge. After retiring from Ford Motor Company, Claycomo, Mo., he resided in Surprise, Ariz. Preceded in death by parents, brother Jacob Crawford and sister Maxine Lionberger, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Arline Crawford; daughters Virginia Ryan of Belton, Mo., Carol Jenkins (Mark) Medford, Ore., Jane McCall (Chuck) of Savage, Minn.; stepdaughters Linda Wilson (Harry) of Grandview, Mo., and Lisa Harriman of Sterling, Va.; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
