

Carol May "Ollie" Oliphant was born on June 25, 1950 in Clinton, MO to John J. and Coralee "Corky" (Raymond) Oliphant. She departed this earthly life on July 29, 2015 in Kansas City, MO at the age of 65 years old.
Carol graduated from Grandview High School in 1968. During those years she was very active in several class clubs and activities including Job's Daughter and Eastern Star. She worked several jobs throughout her life including Katz Drug Store, Manager at McDonald's, Saint Luke's Hospital ER Admitting Secretary and Dixon-Diveley. Carol's main vocation, however was as a friend...and she had hundreds who would count her amongst their closest.
In her passing, she has now joined her parents John J. and Coralee "Corky" as well as her beloved cats, Michelob and Momma Kitty and a favorite cousin, David Goddard. She leaves behind not only countless friends, but also her sister, Jean Klapmeyer of Willow Springs, MO; her nieces Wendy Reese and husband Chris of Cabool, MO; Rebecca Klapmeyer of West Plains, MO; and a nephew John Klapmeyer of Kaneohe, HI; her great nieces Katelyn Grogan and Caitlin Reese; great nephews Weston Reese and Alex Moritz; and most important, the friend that was most dear to her heart, Jeff French of Overland Park, KS.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 26, 2015. Details to come later...check Facebook for the event that is being planned. Donations can be made in Carol's name to Wayside Waifs in Kansas City, MO or PETA.
A true Angel here on earth....she will continue to be a beacon of light and love for all of us.
