Deborah Ann Bix

Deborah Ann Bix, 59, of Lee’s Summit, MO was called home to heaven on November 1, 2013. The remembrance ceremony will be held at 3:00 pm on November 11, 2013 at McGilley and George Funeral Home 12913 Grandview Rd, Grandview, MO 64030. Deborah’s son Chris to lead the ceremony. Visitation will be open from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The family requests a special time of remembering happy memories, so feel free to come ready to share.

Deborah was born in Maryville, MO on October 5, 1954. She graduated from Maryville High School in 1972, and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University.

Deborah was married to Terrell Bix on June 8, 1974. They were married 22 years.

Deborah worked as an auditor for the United States Department of Agriculture for more than 20 years. She enjoyed singing, reading, and baking goodies, but nothing pleased her more than getting to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Deborah is survived by Mother, Nina Miller, Father, Francis Swalley, Brothers, Harold, Rick, Roger and Ben Swalley, Children; Chris and Chad Bix, and Carie Lund along with their spouses; Grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Sophia, Gabe, Katie, Hannah and Kassidy and other family and friends.

Deborah is preceded in death by brother, Terry Swalley and nephew, Stephen Swalley.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Children’s’ Mercy Endocrinology. The family of Deborah Bix wishes to thank Crossroads Hospice for their help during the last few days.
