Inez Smith Klesath

Inez Smith Klesath, 104, of Lee’s Summit, MO formerly of south KC passed away June 6, 2016 at Wilshire at Lakewood. Visitation 6-7:30 pm Thur. June 9, funeral service 1:00 pm Fri. Inez was born April 29, 1912 in Valley Center, KS to George and Irene Funk Smith. She moved to the area in 1932. Inez was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Kirk. She and her husband owned and operated Ray’s Rosewood Cafe’s from 1954 until retiring in 1971. Inez sold Real Estate for Klahn and Crest Real Estate until 1993. She was a life member of the Elizabeth Chapter of the Eastern Star in Belton, Little Blue Chapter DAR, American Business Women’s Assoc. and a life member of Raymore Historical Society.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray in 1984, sons Roy and Gary, sisters, Carol Huber and Sylvia Maddox. Survived by son Clinton Glen Klesath, Lee’s Summit MO; daughters Janet Elaine Smith, Raymore MO, Mary Irene Dale and husband Richard, Napoleon MO; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
