James Darrell Cochran, a longtime resident of Kansas City, Mo, passed away March 11, 2014, at Research Hospital. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Jim's life at 10:00 am, on Saturday, March 15, at McGilley & George funeral home Grandview, Mo. Burial with military honors will follow at Longview memorial garden Cemetery. Jim was born September 20th, 1941 Kansas City, Mo, the child of Jack and Lela (Chanstain) Cochran. He grew up in Hickman Mills, Mo, where he graduated from Ruskin High School. After graduation Jim joined and proudly served in the U.S. Navy with an honorable discharge. Jim was an avid fisherman, hunter and chef. Jim leaves his wife of 42 years, Tina Cochran; and also leaves behind numerous children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim had several brothers and sisters along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by all.
