Janet Kay Booth (née Houser) passed away on April 15 at 5:35 am after a well fought battle with kidney disease. Janet was born on August 5, 1954, in Emporia, KS. The family moved around a lot before finally settling in Kansas City, MO. Janet graduated from Ruskin High School in 1972. She worked for truck lines, an accounting firm, and the Department of Agriculture before moving to DFAS. She remained with DFAS for 15 years, and during that time she received numerous recognitions of excellence for her performance.
Janet met her husband, Tim in 1978 at a pool party. They were married on June 12, 1982, in Grandview, MO. Their only child, Amanda, was born in 1986. Janet was an extremely talented artist and enjoyed painting and scrapbooking family vacations. She loved her family and spending time with them whenever she could.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Leona Houser. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Tim; daughters Amanda Booth (Brian) and Tina Imbrogno (Frank); grandchildren Keirstin, Wren, and Bradley, and siblings Linda Coutts, Glenn Houser, and Art Houser (Susan).
Visitation will begin at 10 am, a Service for Remembrance will be held at 11:00 am on May 6, at McGilley and George Funeral Home in Grandview, MO. An inurnment will follow in the Belton Cemetery.
