Joseph G. Dennis, age 61, Belton, MO, transitioned on March 3rd at the KC Hospice House from complications of lung cancer. A Memorial visitation will be 12:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at McGilley & George Funeral Home 12913 Grandview, MO 64030. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to KC Hospice and/or Wayside Waifs.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Alice Dennis, aunts, uncles, friends, and his beloved dog Fritz.
He leaves behind his canine companion, Cocoa; son Jay Dennis, Kansas City MO; sister Joan Stanton, Overland Park KS; brother Jimmy Dennis, Belton MO; birth mother, Pat Peters, Kansas City KS; many nieces and nephews.
Joe transitioned into The Next with 18 years continuous sobriety. He was an US Navy Vietnam War Era veteran. Joe retired from Apple Bus as a School Bus Driver.
