Karen Lea Pflughoft

Karen Pflughoft, 75 of Lee’s Summit, MO, died August 13, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date with close friends and family. Karen was born in Susank, Kansas on Aug. 31, 1940 to Wesley and Ruth Rambo. During her life, she lived in Buhler, Ulysses and Kansas City area. Karen married Darrell Pflughoft on June 14, 1958 and they were blessed with 2 sons, Jeff & Michael. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Karen had a 40 year career in banking, retiring as a V.P. of Fidelity Bank in Topeka, Kansas.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrell, sisters; Janice Taylor and Wanda Westfahl. Karen is survived by sons; Jeff and wife Dena of Lee’s Summit, MO, Michael and wife Michelle of Temecula, CA, six grandchildren; Aaron, Lindsey, Macey, Sandra, Tyra and Tristan, three great grandchildren; Avery, Aden and Ainsley as well as her faithful four legged companion Harley, several nieces, nephews and many beloved friends & coworkers.
