Mary Louise Forbes

Mary Louise Forbes, 92, of Grandview, MO, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Carondelet Manor in Kansas City, MO, where she had resided since May 2009. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Rosary at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, July 21, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Rd, Grandview, MO. Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 22, at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 13000 Bennington, Grandview, MO, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO. Contributions suggested to Grace Hospice or Catholic Charities. Mary was a highly active member of the church where she enjoyed singing in the choir with her husband, Claude, participating in Ladies Auxiliary, the Altar & Rosary Society & the Saint Elizabeth Seton Circle. Mary was an avid leader in Campfire Girls, enjoyed being with friends & family, gardening, square dancing & touring the world, visiting Mexico, Ireland, & the Bahamas. She will be remembered as a good friend, great wife, mother, grandmother & great- grandmother & will be missed by all. Mary was predeceased by husband, Claude Forbes, Jr.; daughter, Donna F. LeFever; granddaughter, Amanda Daly; brother, William A. Collins, Jr.; sisters, Helen Maggio & Mildred Lohr; and parents, William Andrew Collins & Nell Irene Galloway. Survivors are son, Gerald E.
