Bob was born March 10, 1927 in Richmond, MO. After graduating from Richmond High School in 1945, joined the Army, stationed in Dachau, Germany. He served as an M.P. during the Korean War 1950 and 1951.
In 1955, Bob joined the Painter’s Union, Local 9. He beautified homes and business all over Kansas City until his retirement in 1989.
Bob met the love of his life, Zelma Stanley in the fifth grade. They married March 31, 1948, moved to Grandview in 1958 and had 4 children; Cheryl, Steve, Shirley (Phillips) and Keith. Bob was a loving “Grandpa” to Austin Conner Phillips, Taylor Allen Conner and Great Granddaughter, Saylor Grace Phillips.
