Hey Turk it's Guy, you were a good man. Not to many people would give there shirt off there back to most people, (but you would) God bless & take care.. When I go out 7 highway to Pops place I say hi Turk when I go by your old apartment.

My name is Guy Edwards, and  I new Turk for only four years.  In that short period of time we became good friends,  because I recognized  he had a big heart for helping people.  Many people did not appreciate him,  that's sad but true.  Turk would give the shirt off he's back to anyone who needed it, to bad we don't have more people like him in the world.  Turk I tried to help you get better with VA medical care,  but you were to far gone.  I love you buddy, &  I hope you are at peace.  Your true friend Guy.

Thank you everyone, who came, on his 70th birthday he will be laid to RIP.   I believe Alan was happy with his visitation. Many prayers for Tom Montgomery for being my eyes and ears on sight, transporting and being at Alan beck an call as well as Vicki Brooke in Warsaw who cooked cleaned, transported, got grocery's for two years. Big thanks and prayers to Golden  Years, Shalom Hospice, KCVA and so many friends that share in my loss of Alan "Turk". 

I first met Turkey during the winter of '84/'85 while working at Tom Montgomery's service station in Grandview. We were still having big snow events at that time and not many front wheel drive or fuel injected cars yet.  A lot of drivers would get stuck in the snow, or their cars just wouldn't start in the cold. Turkey couldn't wait for those snows to hit, so he could jump in Tom's tow truck and spend the rest of the day and night rescuing all those driver's and cars! Seemed like we'd be busy for days fixing all the cars he hauled in.  At least that's the way I'm gonna remember it.  Drive on Turk!
