Ron and Jo were welcome visitors at our home in Orrington.  Wayne and I enjoyed hearing him tell of where he had been and what he had found out about the family,genealogically. Dear Family, 
I remember meeting Ron through my Dad, Donald Tibbetts. They would talk and share childhood memories speaking of Aunt(so and so), or uncle (whoever) and I was so amazed to see how these to older gentlemen would turn into a couple of kids. I remember the last time I saw Ronald, he had driven (by himself) across country to Columbia, Me. to see family and attend the Worcester Family Reunion. At that time, he also delievered another bike that he had fixed up to a young kid (up to Tibbettstown) who didn't have a bike.
My Dad often speaks of his cousins the Tibbetts boys, and how glad he was whenever he had/has a chance to see them. I know he'll miss Ron very much.
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your loved one. Can't help but think the good Lord needed another warrior angel to keep an eye on us all.

Mr Tibbetts will always be remembered by me as a friend of my fathers and a fellow DoDad. He stands as my first impression of a Marine...appearing stern and strong on the outside but a marshmellow on the inside especially when it came to the kids! It's strange how many things remind me of the Tibbetts. Even the smell of corned beef brings back floods of memories of a time we stayed with the Tibbetts family when my parents went out of town. I wish my childhood friends comfort in knowing their parents are at peace together, and pray for God's strength and love to carry them through. Say hi to my dad, Mr Ron....And rest in peace.

I’ve worked with Ron, long before I moved to Kansas City.  He had retired from the Marine Corps long before I joined, but we both served together with via phone and snail mail communications.  He retired a second time before we moved to KC.

The greatest gift he leaves behind is the number of folks, like me that he taught to think out a problem and identify the source before trying to fix things.   His spirit lives on with all the folks that he touched and taught as we continue to pass his teachings on to the next generation.

Ron is the father of my childhood (and lifelong) friend, Debbie. We met as first graders in the CampFire Program and our group stayed together for many years. Ron was always there to lend a helping hand to the girls and our group's leaders. Ron and Josephine raised their two girls with discipline, faith, and love. They are most surely happy to be together again in heaven looking down as their wonderful family carries on after this loss. Debbie and Amy, your parents taught you well and I know you will always make them proud.

Rest in peace Ron, glad We got to meet you here on earth.  I know you are in a happier place with your Sweet Girl. We will take care of Amy, so don't worry about that.  She is a wonderful, strong, beautiful lady,  You did a great job!

To the Calvert and Spellman families, I am so sorry for your loss and may God Bless. I have known Ron for over 40 years.  When I was in the Marine Corps he would always help and lookout for the younger Marines. He was very intelligent and when you needed his help, Ron never hesitated to share his knowledge.  He set a standard that was very difficult to follow. It was a pleasure knowing Ron.  He fixed my ten speed bike a few times and would never accept payment. Make God Bless Ron. I know he will be missed.

I didn't always say it, but I loved and respected him deeply. 

I didn't always feel it, but I am proud and honored to be his daughter.

I didn't always understand it, but I know he cared about me and wanted only the best for me. 

I didn't always see it, but I know now that he was a true model of God's fatherly love.

Your mother and father raised you to be an outstanding friend, loving daugther, kind wife, adoring mother, and a one of the strongest women I know.  I hope you find great strength in  many wonderful memories.

Grandpa, ever since I was a little squirt out on your front porch picking up lost washers with that magnet on a stick, you've been a friend, a teacher, and an inspiration. I'm going to miss you so much, but I hope you knew that everything you taught me will stick with me, and I hope one day I can pass your legacy on to other little squirts. I love you.

Sharon and I offer our best to Ron's family. He was a true gentleman and friend. My best memories were of us visiting at the hospital in Myrtle Beach during the last reunion, he couldn't understand why I would rather be at the hospital then out sightseing, I could do that anytime, I had him contained and all to myself which allowed us to have really nice conversations, because everyone wanted to be around that old JARHEAD and this time I had him just to myself. My parents bought every bike we ever got growing up from your dad... they always looked like they were put together at the store and brand new.  I never knew until many years later that they were "refurbished bikes" from Mr. Tibbetts that he fixed up with love and attention.  I miss the Camp Fire days in your basement with your parents too.  Your parents were such great people Amy you should be very proud to have had such two wonderful parents who cared so much about you.  We need to get together soon and remember those great times.  You and your sister are in my thoughts and prayers..

Amy, I know this is a difficult time for you and your family. Praying God will see you through and pick you up when you need him the most. So sorry for your loss.

You were the best Dad a girl could have. Thank you for all your unconditional love, support and all you taught me over the years. I am a better person because of you. I love you Daddy!!!!

I must add this, when ever Ron and Jo came for visits and later on, we always had baked beans..and he would say "I never met a bean I didn't like. That and his like of Moxie..Any thing made in Maine....One other time when he had a Blue Triumph Sports Car..and my son Jon was 4 or 5 yrs old, he took him and a friend for a ride. Jon was was very impressed and had mentioned it often. Memories are made of this.

My brother, best friend, Former fellow Marine..We are going to miss you. We always enjoyed your visits. Now you are in a better place where you can be at rest..Royce, Joan and all of us.
