Arlene Kay Ward

WARD (Bonczyk) - Arlene Kay Ward, age 68 of Grand Rapids, was suddenly called to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 16, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ward and parents Anthony and Frances Bonczyk. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Carolyn Engen; nephew, Tim (Gwennan) Engen; nieces, Kari (Randy) Bennett and Lynne Engen; many great nieces and nephews; very special friend, Charles Allen; extended relatives from Jerry's family; and many friends.

Arlene received her degree from Aquinas College and was a teacher in the Grand Rapids Public School System for many years. After retirement, she was dedicated to and actively involved in advocating for seniors.

A Memorial Service will be held 7 pm Thursday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville (East Building) with Rev. Nate Moody officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Thursday from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at the Cook Memorial Chapel.
