DEKOCK - Arlyn John DeKock, age 80, our "Deere Dad," went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 5, 2014, after his courageous battle with a rare kidney sarcoma. He was preceded in death by special brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Elmer Hoeksema, Herm Lubbinge and Al and Peggy Hayes.
He will be remembered by his loving wife of 55 years, Dolores, and children, Joni and Mark Baragar, Cindy and Blake Zandbergen, and Cathy and Scott Coulter; grandchildren Caleb and Noah Baragar; Jack and Ty Zandbergen; and Tate and Cody Coulter; siblings Jerene Hoeksema, Norene and Mel Hancock, Ilah and Bob Van Klompenberg, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Arlyn was an active member of Hope Christian Reformed Church. He loved to travel to see his family, and enjoyed all things John Deere. Dad truly enjoyed his 60 years at John Hoeksema Inc. as a service technician.
Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11 at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 3110 Barrett, Grandville with Pastor Dale Fopma officiating.
