

Arnold L. Martin peacefully entered eternal life on March 2, 2015 at his home in Grandville, Michigan. He was 89 years old. Arnie was born in Harrietta, Michigan on January 21, 1926 to George Martin and Vernice Wimple, who came to Michigan in a covered wagon. He was preceded by his parents and three older brothers: Leslie, Ralph, and Harold.
Arnie served in the United States Army 79th Infantry division participating in the World War II Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Eame Theater ribbon with 2 Bronze stars. He graduated from Mesick High School; then received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Ferris State University in 1950 and his master's degree in Education from Michigan State University.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Luana and his son Robert (Trish) Martin of Grandville, MI and his grandson, Dr. Joffre (Katayoon) Martin of Henderson, Nevada and granddaughter, Dr. Lindsay (Cory) Coe along with his only great grandchild, Melanie all of New York, New York.
He spent most of his career as an Elementary Principal in Bay City, Michigan retiring in 1983. He moved with his wife to Florida after retiring where they were avid golfers and enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and dancing. In 2011, they moved back to Michigan to be close to family.
