

She was born on February 7, 1926 to Arlow and Nina (Raffler) Follick in Bellevue, MI.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Ivan; two daughters Linda (Don) VanDenHeuvel of Hudsonville, MI, Deborah Jean of Lansing, MI; two sons Michael (Susan) Monroe of SC, David (Elaine) Monroe of IN; 12 grandchildren Elizabeth, Sharon, Bobby, Eric, Amy, Scott, Lisha, Brianna, Brent, Jonathan, Melissa and Shaun; 18 great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter, Lily.
She was preceded in death by father, Arlow Follick, mother, Nina Follick, daughter, Judith Herrera, and son, Gary Monroe.
Barbara and Ivan lived in Hanover, MI for over 50 years and raised their children there on the farm. Barbara received her high school diploma at the age of 30 after having her children. She continued on to earn an LPN from Jackson Community College and she continued in nursing for many years. Barbara was known for her beautiful flower gardens and had nearly every flower that would grow in Michigan in it.
A celebration of life service will be held at The Depot Room at Patmos Library in Jamestown from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19. Address is 2445 Riley Street, Hudsonville, MI 49426. Lunch will be served.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.
