Betty Meeker Merryweather

MERRYWEATHER (ROSS) Betty Meeker Merryweather, age 90, formerly of Wyoming, passed away, Friday, August 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Merryweather; her son, James Merryweather; her grandson, Jacob T. Merryweather; her sisters, Barbara Grant, Dorothy Davidson.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children, Larry (Darlyn) Merryweather of Hudsonville, Judy (David) Bowen of Croton, John (Pat) Merryweather of Byron Center, Tom (Jennifer) Merryweather of Rockford; her daughter-in-law, Franci Merryweather of South Dakota; her 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; her sister, Marjorie Hendricks; and her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Sunday at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday at Cook Funeral Home. Rev. Chandler Stokes of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate. In honor of Betty, contributions may be made to the Kent County Humane Society or WGVU.
