
She was born February 11, 1948 in Manistee, MI, daughter of the late Charles and Frances Masty Walukonis. She was a graduate of Manistee High School class of 1966. She has lived in the Grand Rapids area her entire adult life. Throughout her career, Bonnie was employed in the food service industry, spending the majority of her career at Sayfee's, until her retirement in 2005. Bonnie loved playing bingo at the Neal Fonger American Legion Post 179, as well as jigsaw puzzles and reading. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Tara Paul Ragatz of Saline and Tanya Branyan of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Alexander, Gabrielle, and Jacob Ragatz; brother, Charles Connie Walukonis of Traverse City; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Walukonis. Memorial service for Bonnie will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 25 at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie SW East Building, in Grandville with visitation prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. In honor of Bonnie, memorials are being established in her name for the American Lung Association.
