

Charles Franklin Morris Sr., age 98 of Jenison, died on December 14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Louise (Cato); brother, Lawrence “Bud” Morris (Lucille); sisters Evelyn Billings (Donald), Dorothy L. Morris, and Alice M. Shoop (Ronald). Chuck is survived by his children Charles F. Morris Jr. (Sandra) and Patricia M. Milbourn (David); three grandchildren Michael and Jeffrey Milbourn, and Jennifer (Morris) Biever; five great-grandchildren; sisters Joanne (Lloyd) Crocker and Irene (Jimmy) Capp; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Chuck served in the Army/Air Force as a flight engineer during WWII; he flew generals, Christmas troop entertainers, and a couple of U.S. presidents (Eisenhower’s Air Force One flight crew) until he retired in 1963. He then worked at Bendix Corporation, supporting and tracking operations for NASA for all the Apollo missions. He later returned to government service working as a supply and dispersal manager at GSA (Government Services Agency). Dad loved his family, and he was known for his outreach and concern for others. For 98 plus years, he lived each day to the fullest and along the way he touched the lives of others. He will be remembered.
In honor of Chuck and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mel Trotter Ministries. A graveside service at Georgetown Cemetery will be held at with his immediate family attending.
