

Charles Alden Neureuther, age 81 of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 25, 2023 with his family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Wuanita Neureuther and his Aunt Mardell Feinholz. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Suzanne; their daughters Angela (Sean) Maranda and Amanda (Jon) Martz; grandchildren Katelyn Maranda, Charli, Alden, and Nikolaus Martz; siblings Barbara (Jerry) Wasson and George (Diane) Neureuther; nephew, Christopher Holmes; and numerous friends.
Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Bay of Pigs Invasion and The Cuban Blockade and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed playing football, baseball, and coached both at St. John Vianney Catholic School, SKRA, and the Grand Rapids Crush. Chuck was a proud Michigan Wolverines fan. He liked to golf, hunt, fish, and do woodworking. He was a Boy Scouts leader, member of the Catholic War Veterans of America and served as regional president of the FRA. He enjoyed cooking - especially barbeque. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted father and grandfather, supporting his children and grandchildren in their various activities. He will be greatly missed.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2023 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming. Burial and military honors will be at Resurrection Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary at 8 p.m., at Cook Funeral Home (West Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville.
