She is survived by her second husband, Donald Jensen. Christine also had four step-daughters.
Christine was raised to give of her talents, and that she did. She loved to sew and bake and crochet. She made baby afghan blankets for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she made them for friends who asked knowing that they would receive a beautiful blanket that would be cherished gift. As the grandkids got older, she crocheted them all in adult sizes with colors of their choosing. She also loved to bake for anyone who asked and was famous for her banana bread. Her granddaughter Lydia said she made the best chocolate chip cookies. Christine also volunteered at SECOM where she helped in the food pantry with her husband, Don. She also volunteered in her daughter’s classroom during special events and often would provide a meal for the teachers during parent teacher nights.
Her greatest accomplishment was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the unconditional love she showed them. She tried very hard to attend every sporting event, band concert, dance recital and competition, award night, music program, and swim meet. Whatever the event, you bet she would try her best to be there, rain or shine. We would like to thank the staff at American House, and especially Dannette, for taking care of Christine in the last months of her life.
