Cornelius Andrew Keegstra

Cornelius “Neil” Andrew Keegstra Sr., age 85, went to be with his Lord Monday, March 3, 2025. Neil was preceded in death by his parents Cornelius A. and Florence Keegstra; sister, Elaine (Art) Kerkstra; niece, Sandy Kerkstra. He will be remembered by his wife of 23 years, Carol Keegstra; children Kari Mete, Cornelius “Corky” (Amy) Keegstra Jr., Kami Harper, and Lee (Troy) Markosky; grandchildren Shaunna (Marty) Marzean, Kaleigh Charlton, Jessica (Ryan) Markosky, Cornelius Keegstra III, Brittany Keegstra, Noel (Marissa) Anaya, Trever Markosky, Reni Keegstra, Ciara Keegstra, Anna (Curtis) Boeve; great-grandchildren Haidyn, Teagyn, Maisyn, Kayla, Anaria, Xyonna, Paul Jr., Nahzir, AnaMaria, Archer, Aurora, and sweet baby boy Keegstra on the way; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Neil was a proud American who served in the U.S. Army. He was an active member of the West Michigan Mustang Club, and also liked to ride Harley motorcycles. Above all, Neil cherished his family. He was a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather who never missed a chance to play with his grandchildren or support them in their activities. With a warm and generous heart, he held a special place for individuals with special needs, always showing kindness and compassion.

A celebration of Neil’s life will commence 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2025, with visitation one hour prior, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie Street SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Troy Markosky will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions may be made to West Michigan Hospice. In Neil’s honor, please feel free to dress casually and wear Mustang or Harley gear as a tribute to his passions.
