

Craig Thomas Hunt, age 81, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025. Craig was the son of Philip Hunt and Ruth Stromsta Hunt of Muskegon, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his older brothers Lee, Gale, and Gary Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hunt; and sons Philip and Jeffery Hunt; stepson, Bret LeValley; stepdaughter, Jill LeValley; granddaughters Gina LeValley, Samantha Streeter, and Delaney LeValley; as well as many special cousins and extended family members.
Craig served with the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1963-1969.
As a resident of Muskegon, Craig commuted to Steelcase in Grand Rapids for many years until his move to Wyoming, MI. He and Mary married in 1978 and made their home in Grandville, MI, where Craig ran his software development company, Systems Development Resource. He created the initial reservation system for local and out of state campgrounds.
As a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Grandville, Craig assisted with the initial computerization of the parish's website. He also worked with the Harley Owners Group in Grand Rapids to computerize their website information.
A celebration of Craig's life will be held with a Mass of Christian Burial taking place 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Avenue SW, Grandville, MI. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to Mass Tuesday.
