David Donovan

He was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Thelma Donovan; brother and sister-in-law Willard “Bill” Donovan and Dorothy Donovan; Janice’s parents, Ernest and Arlene Kahler; and brother-in-law, Larry Hutsell.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Janice; children Michael (Andrea) Donovan and Stephanie Donovan; grandson, Brycen Donovan; siblings Mary (Robert) Coykendall; brother in law, William (Helen) Kahler; sister in law, Phyillis Hutsell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

David was a Vietnam veteran who served in the Army 9th Infantry as part of the Mobile Riverine Force. David enjoyed antique cars, traveling, his beloved dogs, and his family, especially his grandson Brycen. He was a member of Grand A’s, Model A Car Club. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 702.

Visitation with relatives and friends will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie, S.W., Grandville, MI 49418. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie, S.W., Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. Rob Wondergem will officiate.
