
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Larkin; mother Janet Frieswyk Larkin; stepfather James Frieswyk; and his stepsister Beth VanderTill.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Ruth; children, Shari Jay Lutschkin of Las Vegas, NV, Jeff Sherlyn Larkin of Las Vegas, NV David J. Larkin of Jenison, and Trica Scott Behmlander of Grand Rapids; brother Tom Mary Larkin of Morley; stepbrother Jim Bonnie Frieswyk of Grandville; stepsister Carol Knowles of Hudsonville; four grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and his faithful hunting dog Clancy.
David was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
He retired from Honeywell after 25 years of loyal service.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force stationed in Korea and a member of the American Legion - Neal Fonger Post.
The funeral service will be held Monday 11 a.m. from Fellowship Reformed Church of Hudsonville 6610 36th Ave. with Rev. Michael Van Buren and Pastor Shawn Hulst officiating.
The family will meet with relatives and friends Saturday 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville 4235 Prairie St. SW - west building.
Visiting will also be held Monday one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Reformed Church Fund or D.A. Blodgett Services for Children and Families.
