

David Stelma, age 37, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, July 29, 2010, after he fought a three and a half year battle with ALS. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Madison and his brother, Douglas. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 9 years, Erin Stelma VanOeveren, his sons, Nicholas and Blake; his parents, James and Pok Im Stelma; his father- and mother-in-law, James and Karen VanOeveren; his brothers, Dan and Derek Stelma; Erin's siblings, Wendy Brad Brink, Ryan Tami VanOeveren; his nieces and nephews; and Erin's grandmother, Evelyn Kopp. The Stelma & VanOeveren families would like to extend their deepest thanks to everyone who supported them and for their loving care.
Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Sunday and 5 to 8 PM Monday at the Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW east building.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at First Reformed Church in Grandville, 3060 Wilson Ave. SW, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor David Breen and Pastor Christopher Wolf will be officiating. In honor of David, contributions may be made to Nicholas and Blake Stelma, through Rivertown Community Credit Union.
