Delores "Dee" Burgess

Delores “Dee” Burgess, age 85, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, March 30, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald Burgess; grandson, Steven Lackey; and her brother, Chuck Mast.

Dee will be lovingly remembered by her children; Dawn (Paul) Minor, Donna (Brian) Lackey, David (Christine) Burgess, Dale (Janet) Burgess, Dean (Carrie) Burgess; grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Minor, Amanda (Chad) Smits, Dianna (Mike) Kisner, Nathan Minor, Joshua Lackey, Sara Lackey, Lisa Burgess, Jill (Alex) King, Kelly (fiancée, Alex Nelson) Burgess, Erin Burgess, Joel Burgess, Cory Burgess, Jesse Burgess, Breeanna Burgess, Rebecca (Nick) Frankfurth, Michael (Kimberly) Burgess, Rachel (Josh) Hook; great-grandchildren, Deejay Minor, Logan Minor, Nicholas Light, Jackson Smits, Gabe Kisner, Kali Kisner, Trey Kisner, Jayden Frankfurth, Avery Frankfurth, and Ellie Hook; sisters, Marlene (Dick) DeKoning, Ev Ayers; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cindy Mast, Rev. Warren (Jeanne) Burgess, Harold (Norine) Burgess, Joan (Ron) Johnson, Richard (Mary) Burgess.

Dee loved the Lord and served Him faithfully as a member of Corinth Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Corinth Reformed Church, 129 100th St. SE, Byron Center, with Pastor Don Porter officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories and stories of Dee’s life Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, and Sunday from 2 PM until the time of her service at church. Interment will take place at Winchester Cemetery.
