Delpha Joyce Dixon (Mendricks), age 87, died peacefully February 7, 2025. She was born to Ada Pearl and Fredrick Henry Mendricks, in Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hale; sister, Norma Steele; and brothers Fred, Marvin, and David Mendricks. She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Richard Dixon; sister, Barbara Wilder; children Kimberly Steele (Victor), Sheryl Rickert (Levi), David Hale (Bernadette), Steven Hale (Barb), Robert Nielson, and Benjamin Dixon. She is fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Delpha was a lifelong member of Apostolic Faith Church. She worked as a seamstress and eventually opened her own business, Draperies by Delpha, which she ran for many years.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care and compassion that Emmanuel Hospice showed to Delpha until her final breath.
