Donald R. Chandler

CHANDLER - Donald R. Chandler, age 84, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 11, 2014. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Elton Bass, and his parents, Howard and Julia Chandler.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Helen Chandler; children, Steve (Ruth) Chandler, Bonnie Bass, and Sandi (Chuck) DeVries; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Wilma Smith; brother, Norman Chandler; and sister-in-law, Alma Gilleo. Donald pastored two churches in the Nazarene Church in Illinois.

The funeral service will be held 11am Monday at the Clyde Park Church of the Nazarene, 2545 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, MI with Pastor William Couchenour officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Sunday from 3-6 pm at the Byron Center Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th SW, Byron Center, MI.
