Doris Mae Britton

BRITTON (SCHROEDER) Doris Mae Britton, age 82, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Irene Schroeder. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Clarence Britton; her children, Ronald Woods, Jacqueline (David) Begemen; Clarence's son, Steven Britton; her grandsons, Miles and David Begemen; and her brother, James (Jo) Schroeder. Doris was an artist, giving of her talent through music and painting. She taught piano for many, many years. Throughout her life she painted, especially through her struggle with cancer. She created some beautiful things even during a difficult time.

A time for visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday, October 19, at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at Jenison Bible Church, 6360 - 14th Ave. Rev. Stephen LeBar and Rev. Lee Buer will be officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.
