Remembering Grandma this morning and always. For all the fun summer days by the pool at the house on 84th Street (loved going down the slide!) and seeing you and Grandpa at church on Sundays while growing up. I have so many wonderful memories of my Grandma. From spending time after school at the house on Main Street to knowing you would always be at all of our important life events. It is sad that you are gone, but we all know that you are now in the arms of our heavenly father and can be yourself again in heaven. Love you Grandma!

In my mind, Grandma House exemplified what it meant to be a lady. She always carried herself with grace, conducted herself with dignity and treated everyone with courtesy. Her selflessness and compassion meant you could count on her support whenever you needed it. Her sensibility meant you could trust her advice to be sage and honest. Her humility meant she never took anything for granted, never took herself too seriously and never refused to lend a hand. Her patience by no means meant she was meek. A fact I discovered when I put her to the test on more than one occasion. Her greatest quality though was her capacity to love. No matter how she expressed it, there was little doubt about her affection and devotion. Thus I shall miss her bright smile, gentle laugh and warm hugs. Yet I am eternally grateful for the influence of such an amazing lady in shaping the woman I have become.

My Aunt Eleanor holds a special place in my heart. I have so many wonderful memories of her. I always felt so loved and cherished by her. One of my fondest memories is when I was in high school. I was sharing with my aunt about wanting to go out for dinner before the Big Sweetheart Dance, but my date and i couldn't afford it. Without hesitating she said why don't you come to my house for dinner and I will cook and serve you and your friends. Oh, it was the best dinner and the best night! I felt so special to have my Aunt Eleanor and my Uncle Art prepare this awesome meal and then serve it to us like we were at a restaurant. I have so many more wonderful memories over the years and just knowing her has made my life so much more enriched. Thank you Aunt Eleanor for all the times you showed me how much you cared. I love you and miss you and know you are now with Grandma and Grandpa.

We were glad to have met Art & Eleanor while visiting my parents several years ago at my parents home, then on lake Michigan. My wife Susann was able to hear some great family stories of the House family about dad and uncle Art and the rest of the House clan as they were growing up. My wife Susann really enjoyed meeting Eleanor, getting to talk to her and learning about the House family.

Have so many awesome memories of my Aunt Eleanor. As I spent so many night and weekends at there house. I loved being with "Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Art and Wendy. I love them so much and will so miss my Aunt. So many memories of family get togethers at there house. All of us together, and so much love and laughter. I am so blessed to have such incredible memories.

We are sorry to hear of your loss. The memories will warm your heart for years to come. We remember watching Mr. & Mrs. House walk hand in hand every day for years. You could see the love they had for each other. It was an inspiration to us .Knowing she is in the presence of the Lord should help to ease your pain. All though we know it is not easy.

A belated heartfelt note of sympathy to all The House Family. I am so sorry that I missed giving my sympathy's to you all in person but was out of town with our kids. Where have the years gone - seems like just yesterday we were sitting and chatting at Cherry Valley Cafe sharing stories and laughing of old times in Caledonia. What a wonderful lady your Mom, Wife, Grandmother and Great Grandmother was, I know she will live on in all the wonderful memories you have and will share with all.

I felt very privileged to know Eleanor the little time I knew her. She was sweet,loving, and passionate. She had her very own unique personalty and seemed to always be in a great mood. Art and Eleanor's love for each other was shown everyday and so devoted to one another. She will be missed.
