Eleanor Ruth Van Beek Poll Jansen, age 96, completed her earthly journey and is resting in the arms of Jesus. She was born November 25, 1925 to Elsie Buist Van Beek and William Van Beek. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands Benjamin Poll Sr. and Harold Jansen. Her family includes children Ed (deceased) and Lois Poll, Ben and Linda Poll, Ruth and Don Uitvlugt, Ginger and James Schreur, Barbara Poll (deceased), Daniel and Maribeth Poll; step-children Sandra and Bill Alward (deceased), Barbara and Jack (deceased) Gebott, and James and Judith Jansen; 26 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Myra Van Beek and Hermina Jansen.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Cook Memorial Chapel (4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville - East building). Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at First CRC of Hudsonville (5486 32nd St., Hudsonville) with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunset Legacy Foundation or Emmanuel Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff members of Sunset Manor and Emmanuel Hospice for their loving care for Eleanor and Harold over the past two years.
