KAPTEYN - Mrs. Elizabeth Betty Kapteyn, age 74 of Bryon Center, passed away suddenly of accidental injuries Thursday, June 16, 1999 and went to be with her Lord. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Melvin Bud; her children, Sharon and Daniel Elzinga, Randy and Kathy Kapteyn, Edie and Jay Ver Meer, Jeff and Laura Kapteyn; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Bill and Marion Post, Seth Jun and Marion Post; three sisters, Gladys De Kraker, Shirley and Roger Ver Beek, Joyce and Ken Bruursema; brother and sisters-in-law, Nelson and Juella Van Dam, Ruth Post, Alice and Minard Visser; her sister-in-law Mildred and Franklin Bouwsma; and several nieces, nephews and many good friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. from Bryon Center First Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Thomas K. Groelsema officiating. Interment Winchester Cemetery. The family will meet relatives and friends Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Bryon Center Chapel of the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. and also Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at church. Memorial contributions may be left to CRWRC or Byron Center Christian School.
