Evelyn Yvonne Kuperus Kuperus DeVries

DE VRIES - Evelyn Kuperus DeVries - 1931-2015: Born Evelyn Yvonne to Bonnie S. Woodard and Grace McNitt Woodard in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on April 19, 1931. Evelyn married John G. Kuperus in 1951, and they had three daughters. John preceded Evelyn in death in 1979. She was married to Henry "Bud" DeVries from 1986 until his death in 2005. For most of her life, she was a member of Wealthy Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters Carole (Richard) Glaser, Diane (Mark) Babin, and Terri (Steve) Sytsma; her sister Alice (Mike) LePard; her sisters-in-law Mary Ann (Robert) Mulder and Barbara Kuperus. Evelyn is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St., SW, Grandville, with visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. The family welcomes memories and messages in their online guestbook at www.cookcares.com. Memorial contributions in honor of Evelyn may be made to Spectrum Hospice or Our Daily Bread Ministries.
