Fern Joan Peterson

Fern J. Peterson, (Siemens) age 88 went to be with Jesus on, Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Howard J. Peterson in 1985. She and Howard served with the American Missionary Fellowship for 30 years. She had a prison ministry for 30 years and worked as a nurse at Blodgett Hospital.

She is survived by her son, Jim and Ruth Peterson of Wyoming; daughters Jean and Tom Robertson of McNaughton, WI, Joan and Jim Roberts of Lawton, OK, Jane and David Austin of Dayton, TN and son John and Cindy Peterson of Anderson SC; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister Fran Nolan; brother Bob and Nancy Siemens of Littleton, CO. She will be remembered by her special friend, Fred Praasterink. The family would like to thank the staff at The Lodge of Maplecreek and Hospice of Michigan for their loving care of Fern.

Funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, April 30th at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East Bldg) 4235 Prairie St SW, Grandville with visitation one hour before. Sons-in-law Jim Roberts and Tom Robertson are officiating. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Fort Wilderness Box 715 McNaughton, WI 54543.
