Florence Ruth Heuvelman

HEUVELMAN (VANDALSEN) Florence Ruth "Netter Flo" Heuvelman, age 79, went to her Heavenly Home with Jesus on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, surrounded by her husband and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Florence VanDalsen, her brother, James Jr. VanDalsen, four brothers-in-law, Ray Geers, Harold Smith, Ken Heuvelman and Nelson DeJonge. Florence is survived by her husband of 58 years, Henry "Hank" Heuvelman; three sons, Rick (Kim) Heuvelman, Randy Heuvelman and Ronie (Leslie) Heuvelman; six grandchildren, Audrey Heuvelman, Ashley (Chris) Smith, Amanda (Justin) Vasquez, Amber Heuvelman, Brad and Brittney Heuvelman; her five great granddaughters and her first great grandson due in October; her two sisters, June Geers and Lorraine Smith; her sisters-in-law, Carol Heuvelman, Marcia DeJonge and Beverly VanDalsen along with many nieces and nephews. "Mama Heuv" was the #1 fan of all of her family members and the walleye warrior of Porter Pit. She'll always be remembered for her love of family and friends and her great sense of humor.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Florence's family will be held from 5 to 7 PM Sunday at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, July 29 at Cook Memorial Chapel (east building) with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Rev. Maury DeYoung will be officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grand Rapids Home for Veterans or Faith Hospice.
