She was born August 11, 1934 in Lafayette, IN to the late Thomas and Laura Minniear. Florence married Donald Prather in 1961, where they farmed and raised two daughters in Tippecanoe County, IN. After Donald's passing in 1991, Florence moved to Kalamazoo, MI in 1995 to be with her grandchildren. She spent many happy hours attending ball games, school performances, trips to the park, and hours on the lake boating and skiing.
Surviving Florence are her daughters Donna Prather of East Longmeadow, MA and Diane Marquess (Michael) of Mattawan, MI; grandchildren Morgan Marquess of Lawton, MI and Evan Marquess of Grand Rapids, MI; and sister, Violet Coe of Lafayette, IN.
