
Floyd was born in Cedar Springs, Michigan in 1924. His faith and perseverance were an inspiration to all who knew him. The driving force in Floyd’s life was his deep faith in God, his desire to share his faith with others and his dedication to his wife and daughters. He was an inspiration to his family.
He was a charter member of Northland Baptist Church and served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was also involved in ministry at the Kent County Jail and Honor Camp.
He will be greatly missed by his family including his wife of 61 years, Catherine; daughters, Sharon Steve VanLoon, Charlene Steve Harryman, and Karl Kevin Belk; grandchildren, Tyler and Brady VanLoon, Matthew, Emilee and Kaylee Belk; sisters-in-law, Ida Andrew Moerdyke and Ann Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held Thursday at the chapel of Raybrook Manor with Pastor Harold Legant officiating. Interment will be at Blythefield Memorial Gardens. Friends may sign his Memory Book at www.cookfuneralservices.com.
