

WINCHESTER Mr. Forrest Winchester Jr. age 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, June 30, 2014. Forrest always said, "The Lord's timing is perfect." Forrest was a kind and modest man and will be missed by family and friends. He served his country faithfully with the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He worked for Kelvinator and two engineering firms, Williams & Works, and Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, where he helped clean up rivers and streams in this area. When younger, he was an active member of Richmond Reformed Church. He played and loved golf and had a hole-in-one at Railside Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce; children, Mark (Sherry) Winchester, Pam Winchester, and Mike (Sandra) Winchester; grandchildren, Chris Winchester and his daughter, Kassidy; Matt (Stephanie) Kribs; and their 3 children, Kaily, Keaton, and Mariana; Justin (Ashley) Kribs and their two daughters, Maison and Delaney; Jodi (Jeff) Hillman and their daughter, Aemilia; Melissa (Mike) Suchowolec and their son, Tycen; brother-in-law Donald (Elaine) Nash and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, 11 AM at Corinth Reformed Church, 129 100th SE, Byron Center, with Pastor Don Porter officiating. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet his family Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center. His family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcares.com. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Forrest may be made to the Joyce and Forrest Winchester Endowment for Cardiac Excellence at Spectrum Hospital or Faith Hospice.
