On Thursday night our beloved bride, mom, and grandmom passed from this world into the arms of her kind and loving redeemer. We are grieving as we miss her voice, her laugh, her hugs, her encouragement, her presence. But we grieve with a hope that transcends the grave. Jesus rescued her from the curse of death and sin by becoming sin that she might put on his righteousness and immortality. If she was writing this, she would want you to consider the frailty and brevity of this life and the immense weight of glory awaiting all those who find their hope in Christ… in his perfectly obedient life, sacrificial death and victorious resurrection. For all who call on him WILL be saved (Romans 10:13). Our Lord held her and carried her home to her rest. He never failed her once, and he will continue to show his faithfulness to her and to all who he’s made his own. We give thanks to our good and loving God and his son, our redeemer Jesus Christ, and his Holy Spirit, our ever-present comforter and the one who leads us into truth.
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:22-24
