Dear family,
 We are so sorry to hear about Gerrit's passing. We know you all will miss him terribly, yet you have many wonderful memories to hold on to. We have always thought so much of Gerrit, a fine Christian gentleman.
 We are not able to come to the funeral home or the funeral since we are in Florida. Please know that you are in our hearts at this time.
 May the Lord's love and precious peace surround you at this time, and in the days ahead. You have that "great hope" that you will see your Dad and Mother once again.

We didn't know Mr. Geers; Bob went to school with the twins - Ron and Don. If his children learned from him, then he was no doubt a gentleman.
 Bob's father also passed away a few months ago - age 91.

Dear Sandy, Don, Ron, your spouses and families, Please accept our sincere sympathy on the death of your father. We didn't know him personally but my mom and dad Hi and Dorothy DeVries thought the world of him and your mom. Your family was extremely good to them in their retirement years and we appreciate it very much. I know my mom would like to send her condolences but it is impossible for her to write or to hear on the telephone. Sorry we couldn't be in GR for the services but you are in our prayers.

It was a real privilege to know Gerrit. I was a summer employee for ten years. Whenever I would meet Gerrit he would stop and say hello. He always made me feel like I was one of his most valued employees. I always admired him for his support of Christian education. When I look back, I thank God for people like Gerrit. I know God used that job at Gerrit's to support and encourage me, not only finacially but in many other ways as well. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with the Geers family. John DeJonge

I have wonderful childhood memories of friendship with Ron and Don and basking in Gerrit's warmth. He was always friendly and interested. He coached our ball team and was my elder at Wyoming Park CRC. My last memory is with him visiting me at my mother's funeral, as usual a warm and caring friend. He is truly a good man and one for whom "to live is Christ and to die is gain." Al Helder
