Guy Austin Lewis

LEWIS Guy Lewis, age 62, went to sit at the feet of Jesus our Lord, Sunday, September 25, 2011 after fighting the most courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his brother David Lewis and Greatniece Hannah DeHaan. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dolores A. Lewis; Daughter Amanda Lewis (Travis); Sons Jon Herrington (Angie), Jay Herrington (Jacki) and Patrick Herrington (Julie). Grandchildren are Zackery, Kayla (Jason), Krista and Kole, Chelsea and Alexis, Meagan, Mackenzie, Miranda and Keegan. Brother Gordy Lewis (Sandy), nephews Billy, David, Nick (Laura) and Thad. Also sister Joan Leavenworth, nieces/nephews Laurie, Gail and Curtis.

Guy proudly served his country in Vietnam (69-70) as a member of the United States Army, 69th Armor Division. He also proudly served Cannon Township Fire Department for 23 years.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Guy's family will be held 5 to 8 PM Wednesday September 28th at Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (East building). Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Thursday September 29th at Resurrection Life Church on Ivanrest, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM.
