Harold Robert Hoogerwerf

HOOGERWERF Harold Robert Hoogerwerf, aged 84, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008, and is now resting in the arms of Jesus. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 63 years, Phyllis Hoogerwerf Mol. He will be deeply missed by his children, Nancy & Kevin McIntyre and David & Lynn Hoogerwerf. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Ben & Shannon Maddox, Corey & Kate Swiftney, Bryan & Jayne Hoogerwerf, Michelle Hoogerwerf and Craig & Samantha Hoogerwerf. He was also a devoted great grandpa to Ellen & Carolyn Maddox and Breckin & Kenzie Swiftney.

He was a member of Faith Reformed Church for 53 years, serving as both Deacon and Elder as well as Clerk and Vice President of the Consistory. He was also active for many years in the education of young people in the church. His devotion to his faith in God was reflected in his love and service to his family and others.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Harold's family will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW west building. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Faith Reformed Church, 618 32nd St. SW.
