On Thursday evening, February 18, 2016, the Lord called his faithful servant, Jack B. Peterson to his heavenly home. Jack served his country faithfully with the US Army during the Korean War. Jack was born August 29, 1930 in Grand Rapids to Barney and Marie (Hoekstra) Peterson. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles, Peter, and Chester Peterson, and Esther Spanjer.
Jack will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth; children, Randy (Diane) Peterson, Mary Peterson, and Laura Thompson; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Lois Peterson; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful little dog, Gidgit.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday at Baldwin St. Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St, Jenison, with Rev. Lee Buer officiating. Interment will be at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet his family Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6:30-8:30 PM at the Cook Funeral Home (west building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville.
