Jacob Foster

FOSTER - Jacob Foster, age 89, of Patterson, NJ, passed away August 13, 2001 and went to be with his Lord. Mr. Foster was a Councilman and Police Commissioner of North Haledon, NJ for ten years. Jacob also enjoyed playing the flute in the Gloria Concert Band.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jack David; one sister, Betty and Peter Botbyl. Mr. Foster is survived by his wife of 68 years, Gertrude; two sons, Frank Joyce Foster of North Haledon, NJ and Barry Linda Foster of Byron Township; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; also surviving are one daughter-in-law, Barbara Foster and Jim Stakely, both of Gainesville, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday 11 a.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center, 2067 84th St. with Rev. Al Gelder and Rev. Evan Heerema officiating. Interment Fairlawn Cemetery, Fairlawn, NJ. The family will meet with relatives and friends Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Youth Unlimited, P.O.
