
Jim spent many years driving truck and retired from Steelcase.
Jim was born in Atwood, MI and served his country in the Army where he met his “war bride”.
Jim had many loves that included golf, his church, and his friends, but especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Charles Phyllis Heeres, Phyllis Howard Boone, Deborah Jack Bauer, and Gordon Kathie Heeres; his 11 grandchildren: Melissa, Randy, Eric Sherrie, Dale Brenna, Sean Charleen, Megan Steven Andrew, Breck Mark, Cara, Jennifer Reid and Megan Stevie Allen Sandy, Bob Kim, 14 great grandchildren; his brothers Don Maxine Heeres, Theodore “Bud” Marion Heeres and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 30th at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Ave. in Hudsonville with Reverend Michael Van Buren and Reverend Shawn Hulst officiating.
Interment will be in Georgetown Township Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may meet his family on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 1889 Baldwin St in Jenison.
Contributions in memory of Mr. Heeres may be made to Hospice of Michigan, the Kidney Foundation or the Fellowship Reformed Church Building Fund.
