Jim was a wonderful guy with a great sense of humor. He always made you feel special and I have never seen him have trouble with anyone. I pray for his family everyday and I will never forget the guy even though we met only a few times. If I had only seen him walk out I would have stopped him and I'm so sorry I wasnt there for him. I would never forgive myself for that. Friends dont let friends drive drunk they say. I'm so sorry Jim... and much sympathy to his mother. I could never imagine. Jim is in a great and far better place now, I wish I was with him and so many others up in heaven too. I remember on New Years Eve when we kidded around. I was calling him Phil Phillips or something... just friends having a good time. Now Im sitting here crying and all I can say is how sorry and guilty I feel. Jim will never be forgotten. Dear Mennega family, you don't know me, but I want you to know that my family and I have been praying for you. We live not far from the accident site, and we heard first the brakes squealing and then all of the emergency vehicles. We knew it was a serious accident, and it greived us. Since our own son is also 19 yrs old, and our daughters 21 and 23 years, we understand how you wait for them to come home safely. We also realize that they don't always make good decisions, just as we don't always either. What a heartache for you to loose such a beloved son and brother. I lay awake for a long time just praying and praying for you, and for whomever was injured. May God give you all the strength that you need to bear this sorrow. Jim was one of the first guys I met when I started my job at UPS. He was a great friend and co-worker. I couldn't make it to a showing, but I wanted to do something to pay my respects to a great guy. Work won't be the same without good 'ol Jim. I'm very sorry, I send my most sincere sympathies to his loved ones. May God be with you as you go through this.
