James C. Rozendal

He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. John and Adriana Rozendal; siblings Catherine Wolters, Grace Shuart and brothers-in-law Kenneth Meyer and Rev. Esler Shuart.

He will be remembered by his wife Eleanor Rozendal; children Mary Rozendal, Sheryl Rozendal, David (Lorelle) Rozendal; grandchildren Kayla, Stuart, and Yura; siblings Raymond (Sharon) Rozendal, and Dorothy Meyer; brother-in-law Rev. Lloyd (Marjorie) Wolters; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was a strong man of faith with a servant’s heart. He had many interests, however, his family was the joy of his life. For over 40 years he enjoyed teaching math at Kenowa Hills High School, Lansing Community College and Michigan State University.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2016 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 with visitation one hour prior to service at Hillcrest Christian Reformed Church, 3617 Hillcrest Rd, Hudsonville, Michigan. Rev. Jacob Heerema will be officiating. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery.

In honor of Jim and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grandville Christian School or NorthPointe Christian School.
