James Henry VanderPoel, age 78, went to be with his Lord Monday, March 2, 2026. James was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Dena VanderPoel. He will be remembered by his children Jamie (Leo) Bushman and Janette (Terry) Nickels; grandchildren Stephanie, Thomas, and Michael; and extended family and friends.
A celebration of James’ life will commence 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026, with visitation one hour prior, at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton Street SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
